In the United States, BMW North America recently announced a significant recall involving nearly 90,000 vehicles due to a potentially dangerous issue related to engine starters. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) revealed that 87,394 vehicles are affected because their engine starters may overheat, posing a fire hazard to consumers. Chrysler recently recalled over 450,000 vehicles due to a brake light failure which increases crash risks, while Toyota had to recall more than 161,000 pickup trucks over a software defect that can impede rearview visibility.
