Story

On February 9, 2026, Starbucks introduced a variety of new pastries and specialty drinks to celebrate Valentine's Day and expand its menu. The launch coincides with the debut of a new coffee blend named Roast 1971, created to honor the brand's heritage that dates back to 1971. The new bakery offerings include six items that draw inspiration from global flavors, aimed at enticing customers with unique taste profiles and pairings designed to enhance the coffee experience. Among the new additions is the Dubai Chocolate Bite, which incorporates a lavish combination of milk chocolate and crunchy pistachio cream within a chocolate shortbread tart. The Cookie Croissant Swirl features real cocoa swirls, topped with cookie crumble and pairs well with the signature Caffé Verona coffee. Another highlight is the Berry Blondie, a lighter brownie enriched with white chocolate and berry swirls, complementing the Sunsera blend. For those who enjoy matcha, the Strawberry Matcha Loaf is a delightful soft cake interlaced with strawberry and matcha, topped with icing. The Yuzu Citrus Blossom is a new croissant variation with tangy yuzu citrus cream, that comes recommended with the medium-roast signature Pike Place coffee. The Chocolate Pistachio Loaf, a marble cake, harmonizes chocolate and pistachio flavors and is suggested warm alongside either the Sunsera or Caffé Verona. Importantly, while all six bakery items are available for purchase starting February 9, 2026, the Chocolate Pistachio Loaf will be temporarily available through winter. The rest are set to remain on the menu permanently, allowing customers to enjoy them year-round. This strategic menu expansion not only introduces new taste experiences but also aligns with the company's goal of attracting diverse customer preferences during the Valentine's season.
