Ongoing developments highlight the necessity of a substantial investment, amounting to $35 billion, dedicated to establishing a new airport at Al Maktoum International Airport, which will feature five runways. This scenario necessitates the shift of airport operations to the new facility at Al Maktoum, which is approximately 45 kilometers away from the current Dubai International Airport location.
