In April 2026, a UK start-up known as IoT Tribe established its first European base in Dublin, Ireland. This deep-tech ecosystem builder made two initial hires for the Dublin branch, taking on both a head and an associate of venture incubation and acceleration. IoT Tribe, previously known as the ‘Startup Scaleup’ program funded by the European Commission, has a history of supporting numerous start-ups across Europe since its inception in 2017. The organization had previously operated the Startup Scaleup program from 2015 to 2016, which successfully supported over 130 start-ups from 47 countries within its network. The establishment of IoT Tribe Europe in Dublin marks a significant expansion into the European market, reflecting the growing demand for innovative solutions in the region. Over nearly a decade, Tribe has claimed to support over 500 start-ups and scale-ups, which demonstrates its capacity to foster deep-tech growth. The organization has also engaged with more than 150 corporations and public agencies, showcasing its extensive partnerships throughout Europe. Tribe's network includes more than 200 experts and mentors who can provide guidance to new start-ups and scale-ups entering the deep-tech space. Tanya Suarez, the founder and CEO of Tribe, emphasized Dublin’s role as a key launchpad for their European operations. She noted that the city has been an area of collaboration for over ten years, offering both world-class engineering talent and a corporate environment that is eager to embrace frontier technology. This strategic positioning aims at effectively scaling their previously tested model, engaging both corporate and government clients across Europe. Marcus Roberts, Tribe’s director of operations, stated that corporate entities across Europe are now ready to engage with deep-tech solutions without hesitation. The concern is no longer about whether to adopt new technologies but rather about finding reliable partners who can facilitate swift integration while reducing associated risks. This pivotal shift in corporate attitude towards technology adoption fills a significant gap that IoT Tribe aims to address not just in Ireland, but across the European continent as a whole.
