With this new offering, Snälltåget will operate one train a day departing from Malmöl at 6:38 AM, arriving in Oslo at 1:16 PM. On Sundays, the train will leave slightly later, at 7:05 AM. Conversely, the journey from Oslo back to Malmöl will depart at 2:48 PM and reach its destination at 9:25 PM. This new route aims to provide enhanced connectivity for travelers, making it easier for those in Norway to access southern Sweden and vice versa. In addition to connecting Malmöl and Oslo, this train service will also stop at several significant locations along the way, including Lund, Helsingborg, Halmstad, Varberg, Trollhättan, Sarpsborg, and Fredrikstad. Although the service comes with added conveniences, it does have specific freight limitations for travelers, such as prohibiting non-folding bicycles on board.
