Honduras is currently facing a protracted and contentious presidential election process following its vote on November 30. As of December 9, authorities have only counted 88% of ballots. This situation is further complicated by the involvement of international observers alongside party representatives in a potential special recount process that could shift the outcomes between Asfura and Nasralla, whose votes are separated by merely about 20,000 votes at present.
