The fix for this defect will involve modifications to the left and right rear door switch circuits by Toyota dealers, which will ensure that the switch does not activate, even in instances of a short circuit. This repair will be provided free of charge to vehicle owners. Notifications to the affected vehicle owners are scheduled for distribution at the end of March 2026, providing them with instructions for the necessary repairs.
