Story

In Ukraine, specifically in the Sumy region, a series of attacks occurred over the past 24 hours, resulting in significant casualties and damage. The Sumy Regional Police reported that 17 communities were targeted by enemy fire, which included the use of guided aerial bombs, attack UAVs, FPV drones, artillery, and mortars. Among the casualties, a 64-year-old woman was killed in the Bilopillia community, while two men aged 51 and 66 were injured due to drone strikes. In the Seredyna-Buda community, a 57-year-old woman lost her life when a Russian UAV struck her house. Additionally, a 69-year-old man was injured in the Myropil community when a drone hit his bicycle, and a 44-year-old man was also injured in the Sumy community from an enemy drone strike. The attacks caused damage to residential buildings, farm structures, vehicles, and other civilian infrastructure across various communities, including Bilopillia, Sumy, Myropil, Seredyna-Buda, Hlukhiv, Esman, Shostka, Putyvl, and Nova Sloboda. Law enforcement agencies, including police investigative and search teams, along with bomb disposal experts, were deployed to the sites of these incidents. They documented the aftermath of the attacks, recorded the destruction, and collected evidence of war crimes committed by the Russian Federation. As a result of these incidents, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to violations of the laws and customs of war. The ongoing conflict has led to a tragic loss of life and has raised concerns about the safety and security of civilians in the region, highlighting the urgent need for international attention and intervention.
