The dresser products, which were sold in various colors like black, white, pink, and rustic brown, violate federal safety requirements outlined in the STURDY Act, which aims to mitigate fatal accidents involving dresser tip-overs involving children. Consumers are advised to place any unanchored dressers in areas inaccessible to children and to contact the manufacturer, Simplehome, for refunds. Another product, the Kluster Fun Tabletop Magnet Chess Game, was recalled due to the presence of small, loose magnets which can be dangerous if ingested. The CPSC noted that these magnets can attract one another when swallowed, threatening children with severe internal injuries, including intestinal perforations and even fatalities. The chess games were distributed nationwide from October 2018 until September 2025 for prices between $15 and $20. In light of these hazards, consumers are encouraged to remain vigilant regarding recall notices for safety and ensure that potentially dangerous products are removed from their homes, particularly if there are children present.
